The circle is 0, the stick is 1. 0 is the peaceful nature of the universe. Originally there is nothing. So it is in pitch darkness. 1 is life, splitting out of 0 and driving the turning of 0. So it is in red, symbolizing fire or light. Learning is that driving force. The green grass (letter s lying down) is the playground 0 and 1 are playing together. Together they make the initials of Open Source Learning(O is the circle, L is the stick).
